Method of joint
The method of conveying belt joints are: mechanical joints, cold bonding joints, thermal curing joints, and other commonly used methods.
1 mechanical joints generally refers to the use of belt buckle joint, the joint method is convenient and quick, but also more economical, but the joint efficiency is low, easy to damage, the conveyor belt products have a certain impact on the service life. In the PVC and PVG core flame retardant and anti-static conveyor belt, the general level 8 with the following products are using this joint method.
2 cold adhesive joints, that is, the use of cold bonding adhesive to carry out the joint. The joint approach than mechanical joints for high efficiency, more economic, should be able to have a good connection effect, but from a practical point of view, because the technology is relatively rare to grasp, impact and adhesive on the quality of the joint is very large, so it is not very stable.
3 thermal curing joint, practice has proved that the most ideal method of a joint, to ensure high joint efficiency, but also very stable, joint life is very long, easy to grasp. But there are some disadvantages such as process trouble, high cost and long operation time.
Two, the joint is easy to crack, break the reason
The strength of the joint of the conveying belt is lower than that of the normal band. Generally connected by mechanical means, the joint strength can only reach 40 - 50% with body strength, cold glue quality is better, the joint strength can reach 60 - 70%, while the intensity of the hot glue joint can reach 80 - 90% (joint method is correct, no quality defects). The joint strength is relatively low, if the bonding method is not correct, the joint strength will be more low, such as surgery, abrosive and a layer of cloth, excessive grinding, lap length is not enough, the step number is not enough, rubber joints with rubber performance is not good or has been since sulfur failure, excessive grinding, wire rope the wire rope rust, joint strength will be greatly reduced, when in use, easy to appear the phenomenon of broken joints.
In addition, if the conveyor belt does not adopt the sealing glue, or the direction of the rubber joint is wrong, the joint part is prone to crack.
